Анотація

Робота присвячена огляду сучасних уявлень про газовіддачу дна Чорного моря. Показано, що метан надходить у води Чорного моря з газових сипив, з грязьових вулканів і меншою мірою за рахунок біохімічних процесів в донних відкладах. Газові сипи локалізовані по периферії моря, а грязьови вулкани та газогідрати метану – в її центральній частині. Газові сипи і грязьові вулкани можуть бути використанні як пошукови критеріїв на нафту і газ. Метан, що міститься в морській воді, негативно впливає на біоту, а газовий вулканізм створює небезпеку для навігації і прокладки підводних комунікацій.
